New in: LunaLeila bamboo-lyocell basics
Something new is arriving at AntiAge market — and for the first time, it isn’t skincare. LunaLeila, an intimates brand built around one fabric done exceptionally well, joins the store with bras, bottoms and value multipacks. “Intimates With Intention” is their line, and the intention shows in the details.
The fabric story
Every LunaLeila piece is cut from Luna-Boo™ bamboo lyocell — a fiber made from bamboo processed the lyocell way, in a closed-loop system that reuses water and solvents. The result is a fabric with a very particular feel: heavier-draping than cotton jersey, cooler to the touch, and so smooth the brand’s own descriptions reach for “buttery” — fairly, in our view.
Why it suits the skin-first shopper (that’s you, if you’re reading our Journal):
- Softness without treatment. Lyocell fibers are naturally smooth-surfaced — no softeners needed to get there.
- Breathable and moisture-wicking. Bamboo lyocell moves moisture away from skin better than conventional cotton knits, which matters for all-day wear.
- Kind to reactive skin. Smooth fibers and fewer processing chemicals mean less to irritate; the brand describes its textiles as certified-clean, and the Harmony line carries an OEKO-TEX certification.
- Naturally stretchy. The knit adapts to the body without relying entirely on elastane.
What’s in the line
- Bras — the Harmony triangle bra (a sensual cut with underband and hook-and-eye closure) and the Support bralette (bandeau silhouette, wide underband, adjustable straps).
- Bottoms — the Balance thong (high on the hip, barely-there feel) and the Elevate high-rise bikini, in colorways from everyday beige, brown, black and white to limited Elsa Blue and Ferrari Red.
- Sets & multipacks — 3-packs and 5-packs of the everyday pieces, priced to stock up.
Every style runs XS through XL (some to XXL), with per-size availability shown on each product page.
Picking your size
Bamboo lyocell is forgiving — its natural stretch covers more ground than a rigid fabric would. Start from our size guide (how to measure, plus US/EU/UK conversion). Between two sizes? Most customers go down for a snug, sculpted fit and up for lounge-level ease.
FAQ
Is bamboo lyocell the same as “bamboo fabric”?
Not always — and the difference matters. Much “bamboo” clothing is bamboo viscose made with harsher chemistry. Lyocell is the cleaner closed-loop process: the solvent is captured and reused rather than released. LunaLeila’s Luna-Boo™ fabric is the lyocell kind.
Is it good for sensitive skin?
The fiber surface is naturally smooth and the fabric breathes well, which makes it a common pick for easily-irritated skin. As with any textile, individual reactions vary — but this is one of the gentler fabric categories you can wear.
How should I care for it?
Bamboo lyocell keeps its softness best washed cool on a gentle cycle and air-dried. Skip fabric softener — the fabric doesn’t need it, and buildup dulls the natural smoothness.
When can I shop the line?
The catalog is on the site now and going live progressively as we finish quality checks — the LunaLeila brand page is the place to watch.
